Yoder's Country Market: Your Local Deli and Market Gem in Madison, VA

Our attraction was the barnyard market, a place to wander outside and entertain a little one. While small, we were still entertained by several very friendly goats, beautiful pheasants and peacocks, an emu, the sounds of gobbling turkeys and the small playground. Inside, the store is warm and filled with gift items as well as some hard-to-find grocery items. Fresh spices, dried goods, local jams and soaps, a small deli, handmade pies and breads and an ice cream counter all beckon. This unique place is worth a visit for just about everyone in the family. Enjoy yourself, grab a snack and don’t forget to wash your hands after feeding and petting the critters.

Country quality, crafts, baked goods, jams, jellies, every kind of candy and baking ingredients you could use. Awesome service, just a down home place. Best country ham @ the deli. Just awesome place to visit. Lots of outdoor items such as chairs, bird houses, etc. Animals to visit and watch. Great place for all ages.

We absolutely loved it. My kids enjoyed the petting zoo they had as well as the little play groud. The club sandwich was worth the stop aloan.

Nice place to visit! The staff are friendly. They have a lot of homemade crafts, jams/jelly, crochet items, greeting cards, etc. We like that you can buy animal feed in the store for under $4. That prevents using the outdoor machines and needing quarters for the petting zoo area. This is a great place for young and old. They have nice seats and benches to sit on outside. Inside the small food area is open (sandwiches, chips, ice cream). Our entire family loves the petting zoo! They have clean public restrooms. Inside seating as well. Non dairy ice cream is an option. Postcards, magnets and more! We definitely recommend this place!!!! You won't regret the visit!

Absolutely love this place! I make a 2 hour drive there about once every 2 months. So many great offerings. We LOVE the birch beer, spices, and noodles! Good produce, a great hot lunch, and the best baking supplies! Totally worth the drive.

Yoder's Country Market is a must-visit! The atmosphere is so charming, and the petting zoo and playground make it a great place for families. The animals seem well-cared for, and it's fun to see the goats and birds up close. The store itself is a treasure trove of unique items, from homemade goods to local produce. It's a refreshing change from big grocery stores!

Great sandwiches, fresh produce! Windy Knoll Ice Cream is probably the best ice cream. The Raspberry Extreme has ribbons of raspberry with chocolate candies filled with raspberry sauce. And the Peanut Butter Extreme is just that; big chunks of peanut butter like in a Reese’s Cup. The flavors are intense
